[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I want to show you an insect of which I never thought that it could be pretty. But if you look through a close-up lense you see it with other eyes.
I liked the pastel-nuance - this is original, I don't changed or brightened the background.

That's a Craneflies.
They are true flies (Diptera), with only one pair of wings (Diptera meaning ‘two winged’).
The antennae are usually slender, and composed of many segments, a feature of the thread-horned flies, the most primitive Diptera (the Nematocera, a very large group of flies).
They are harmless and cannot sting.
Their main activity is generally in the evening and at night. Hence they are often attracted to light. In most homes, it is only one species that comes in numbers, for a week or so in late summer.
Craneflies are fascinating creatures in their own right, but they are also of immense importance as a food resource for various birds, especially in such situations as the uplands, and for at least one species of bat.

Hallo Sabine, schönes Foto von diesem zerbrechlichen Insekt. Angenehme zarte Farben. Etwas mehr Tiefenschärfe wäre schön gewesen. Gruß.

Hello, there. I have the feeling the shot could be a little bit sharper. But it's just an opinion.

Anyway, this is a nice shot. I like pov and composition. I also enjoy colors.

Nice close-up, Sabine.
It's little soft and maybe need some more contrast but it is still a nice picture. You even manage to get all the legs in the frame, it's almost impossible with craneflies ;-)
Well composed, nice POV and colours.
Well done.

Nice shot Sabine,
Good detail and great POV. Well composed. Good colours & framing.
Early morning rush!
Well captured, thanks for posting

Nice shot but it is a little out of focus.

Like your cranefly photograph
in a better setting than mine
