The fastest bird in the world is how I will always remember this bird. Grade 2 research project on birds and there was quite a controversy about which bird was the fastest. Swallows are fast but in a dive the peregrine falcon wins out! Important issues discussed during gr.2 recess! I got this shot at a wildlife refuge in Washington State, this warrior was recovering from injury and teaching those their a little bit about the history of pesticides and their effect on egg durability. A beautiful bird and I was able to get my fill of photos with tripod from relatively close range. A great idea to find such a rehab center in your area!

Nice shot! You've captured this Peregrine very well. Focus is spot on, and there's plenty of detail in the plumage too. Background is nicely in bokeh and provides a good contrast to your subject. About the only thing I might consider is a little negative exposure compensation, since the right hand side of the neck looks a little overexposed to me. Other than that minor nit it's a really pleasing image. Well captured :-D

Hi Chris,
apart from good detail, colour and sharpness, the interesting POV makes this shot.

Nice one, Chris! The pose with the head slightly tilted is classic! The detail is excellent and I like the soft BG since it emphasizes the bird. Well done! Thanks for sharing this beauty. :-)
