[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Common chicory, Cichorium intybus,[1] is an erect, somewhat woody, perennial herbaceous plant with bright blue flowers.[2] Various varieties are cultivated for salad leaves, chicons (blanched buds), or for roots (var. sativum), which are baked, ground, and used as a coffee substitute and additive. It is also grown as a forage crop for livestock. It lives as a wild plant on roadsides in its native Europe, and in North America and Australia, where it has become naturalized.

"Chicory" is also the common name in the United States for curly endive (Cichorium endivia); these two closely related species are often confused.

Hi Jurek,

Very nice image of this beautiful flower, good selective focusing, perhaps your exposure is a little over the top here with the bottom right petal burnt out Hmmm, however a pleasing composition Jurek and well done,
Best regards,

Pauly.

Bonjour Jurek,
C'est domage que l'éclairage soit un peu trop fort sur le bas de l'image car la profondeur de champ est bonne et permet d'apprécier la finesse des détails de cette macro.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
Gérard
