[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I shot it somewhere on Brody lake as far as I remember on my boat trip week ago. This pretty is called Cygnus olor (eng. Mute Swan pol. Labedz Niemy).
The Mute Swan (Cygnus olor) is a species of swan, and thus a member of the duck, goose and swan family Anatidae. It is native to much of Europe and Asia, and (as a rare winter visitor) the far north of Africa. It is also an introduced species in North America, Australasia and southern Africa. The name 'mute' derives from it being less vocal than other swan species. Measuring 125 to 170 centimetres in length, this large swan is wholly white in plumage with an orange bill bordered with black. It is recognisable by its pronounced knob atop the bill.

Zimuje w Europie, północnej Afryce oraz srodkowej i poludniowej Azji. Jest jednym z najciezszych ptakow latajacych. |

Hi Damian,
A truly elegant swan my friend. Those whites on the swan make this a real tough shot. It is a bit over exposed. I am not sure about your camera but there are settings in some that allow you to compensate for bright whites on sunny days.
Denis.
Hello Damien,
lovely capture of this swan with good sharpness and fine exposure. I also like the reflections creating a nice symmetry.
Best wishes,
Helmut

Hi Damian,
The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the Mute Swan. The late afternoon light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.
Pierre
