The lights had come out, but hardly visible behind the thin veil of clouds. A long exposure with a fast lens was able to reveal this unreal view of nature's most unreal displays.

Awesome image!! I have only seen this phenomena once, while on a mission trip to Alberta Canada. I have to admit it was a sight that I will never forget. Thank you for reminded me of that once in a life time event.
