[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the note of my previous photo (posted weeks ago) I mentioned that I promised myself to return to this beach around sunset. After a quick dinner in the cabin I changed the battery of my camera, cleaned filters and lenses and got back in my car taking the same road to the beach as that afternoon.

As I was no longer a stranger to the location I quickly selected a view spots for that evening spectacle. Although the cloud cover wasn't going to promise a great colored show, the serenity and calmness gave it a special feeling.

I can't remember exactly what filters I used for this photo, but I believe it were two grad ND's One touching the horizon and one touching the tip of the mountain. I do remember that I made several different exposures as the mountain became a little too dark on the shaded side covered by the ND filter. For the rest it was just a game of waiting to capture the right wave moving in over the exposed seaweed.

Absolutely MAGICAL! You will never forget the feeling will you...thank you so much for sharing with us all again! LOVE IT

Hallo Niek
The late afternoon/evening light gives this image a special flair. This is an excellent shot, the colours and detail is vivid and impressive. The image as a whole is stunning. I miss landscapes like these on the gallery, we have a shortage of landscape photographers. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hi Niek,

You are correct... this does capture a special feeling. I love your long exposure images. I'm not quite clear on how you positioned the filters; but however it was, it seems to have worked well. I suspect you used a level as you are very methodical about technique... however the image does feel a little tilted to the left???????

Lovely work,

Evelynn : )
