The place shown tonight is a glimpse of the Boschi di Carrega Regional Park, extended on 1270 hectares, instituted by Region Emilia-Romagna in 1982.The name derives from the Princes Carrega di Lucedio owners of the estate since 1881.This park is a valued example of forest reserve of low Emilian hill with spontaneous vegetation and exotic species.Within the protected area are traceable some important architectures (works of French Ennemond Petitot) today used as administrative offices of the Park authority. In the past this property was a holiday "resort" and game reserve of Ducal families, already since the second half of 1500 with Farnese, Lords of Parma. The wide variety of environments sees woods to alternate with vast clearings, farms, historic gardens and small lakes (such as that shown in the photo in a morning of thick fog). The southern area of the Park is also characterized by badlands called "calanchi", clay reliefs of sea origin formed 5/6 million years ago.More than half of the Park's area is wooded, with a predominance of Pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) mixed with Turkey oak (Quercus cerris) and Durmast oak (Quercus petraea), but also by Chestnuts and small groups of conifers present around the many ponds.Easy is the sighting of the roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), very common here. The area is accessible from sunrise to sunset throughout the year and it's walkable by a network of well-marked trails.

Hello Alessio,
Even though we live in two completely different parts of the globe, your beautiful landscape image could easily have been taken right in my own back yard. There is a place about a mile from my home that closely resembles this area.
Love the composition and beautiful natural colors. The colorful leaves are a reminder of what it looked like around here just a few months ago. Very informative and interesting notes!!

Ciao Alessio,
As I read/study this photograph this comes to mind with the fallen tree, yes, nature gives and she reclaims. Reading your note was informative. Every photograph must tell a story and you managed to capture it perfectly!! Beautiful autumn colours caught in splendid light with the fog in the BG. Excellent composition my friend.
Best regards,
Carl

Wow Alessio! A wonderful shot. It's framed nicely with branches. It has wonderful colours and the perspective is great. It's got a nice wide DOF that helps bring the whole thing together perfectly. Good eye and well shot! TFS Trevor
