Turkish Name: Balkan Everesi Kelebeği

Distribution in Turkey: Aksehir Konya region, 1100 meters have been reported. However, the recent efforts of butterfly watchers, province of Kırklareli were records.

Distribution in the world: For Central and Eastern Europe, despite an endemic species, a species widespread in the Balkans. In addition, the steppes of Ukraine and western Russia, seen within countries.

Living Area: Usually the calcareous plots. Up to heights of 1200 meters above sea level, wetlands, meadows, valleys, mountain slopes and forest edges lives.

Flight time: In the period between the end of April beginning of September they fly by creating two or three generations.

Food Plants of the caterpillar: Caterpillars for their lives, have been reported in many large legume-Fabaceae plants. Of these, Medicago lupulina-sativa, Vicia sativa, Lotus corniculatus, Trifolium pratense feeding on leaves of plants thrive.

Description-Notes: A small butterfly. Short - tailed [Everes] family, in rare in Turkey is a member. In particular, the family's Provençal Short - tailed Blue - Cupido alcetas very mixed. Color, gender discrimination, is important for. Male individuals on the wing, dull blue gray border edge. The female brown, surrounded by a white fringe. "Everes", other types of "Cupido", separated by a short tail. "Everes" species, of the family from others and easily separated from the orange spots. "Provençal Short - tailed Blue" and "Everes decoloratus" is very similar to each other. In order to differentiate them in the wings to see here. "Provençal Short - tailed Blue," the thin edge bands, "Everes decoloratus of" thick. In addition "Everes decoloratus" diskal front wing spots. These two spots, "Provençal Short - tailed Blue" does not exist.

Wingspan: 23 -25 mm mm long.
