Black-masked Lovebird, Photographed at the Tasmania Zoo.
I am aware this bird is not native to Tasmania, however I was pleased with this shot. |

Hello Maurie,
A very good photo of a Masked Lovebird of good technical standard.
TN is basically about photographing flora and fauna in the wild. If it is captive there should be a note saying so. Not only that, this species, normally occurring in E. Africa, is green and black. This individual has been bred to be blue. In other words this is like taking a photograph of a domestic cat or dog, which is not allowed on TN.
As a region like Tasmania has plenty of wildlife, not to mention parrots, why not try to take a picture from this beautiful island, of a wild plant or animal (mammal, insect or bird, etc).
Regards,
Ivan
