[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A moth is an insect closely related to the butterfly, both being of the order Lepidoptera. Moths form the majority of this order; there are thought to be about 160,000 species of moth (nearly ten times the number of species of butterfly) with thousands of species yet to be described. Most species of moth are nocturnal, but there are crepuscular and diurnal species.
Moths are not easily differentiated from butterflies. Sometimes the name "Heterocera" is used for moths while the term "Rhopalocera" is used for butterflies to formalize the popular distinction; these, however, have no taxonomic validity. Many attempts have been made to subdivide the Lepidoptera into groups such as the Microlepidoptera and Macrolepidoptera, Frenatae and Jugatae, or Monotrysia and Ditrysia. Failure of these names to persist in modern classifications is because none of them represents a pair of monophyletic groups. The reality is that butterflies are a small group that arose from within the "moths" (being considered as part of Ditrysia of the Neolepidoptera). There is thus no way to group all of the remaining taxa in a monophyletic group, as it will always exclude that one descendant lineage. Also, both their larvae are similar to coleoptera larvae (beetle).

Hello Foozi,
What a beautiful moth with this pink color. Perfectly in focus showing almost every scale. Lovely dark background as contrast too. Would be nice to give a name to this creature. I suppose that this one is quite tiny.
Kind regards

Hello Foozi,
A fine sharp macro of a colourful species of Pyralid moth, one of a large family of Micro-moths.
Good use of flash to show natural colours and details that include the tiny scales on the wings.
Thanks and best regards,

Hi Foozi.
You have pictured this cute moth with all nice details. Every hair, every colour is shown perfectly. Two parallel stems create an attractive stage for insect. DOF is selected very well and flash light is very useful too. Kind regards and TFS.

Salam Foozi.
This is an excellent capture of a fine looking moth I haven't seen before. I like the texture and markings on the wings looking like a well groomed velvet cloth.

the scene and the composition are wonderful, fine light with great performance in colors and sharpness!
regards Foozi

Realmente maravilloso y de gran dificultad técnica para su realización.
Preciosos colores con buen control de la luz y los brillos.
Muy artística además.
Saludos Foozi: Josep Ignasi.

Hi Foozi,

The branches are framing well the moth. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the moth. The morning light and the light of the flash have a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.
