More Fungi in the setting sunlight
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Another of the fungi in the area surrounding my home. Again caught in the light of the setting sun when just a few rays were coming through the woodland onto the log of fungi.|
I don't know the ID of the fungi, but probably a bracket fungi...
The picture has been cropped and the contrast increased by +5. I've left everyhting else alone.

Hi Emma an excelent capture, very detailed with no burn-out of highlights, this might sound silly but I prefer looking at it the other was up, so the backet come down rather than up, personal choice I know.
as to an ident it is Turkeytail (Trametes versicolor) a species that is wide spread on dead wood and very variable in colour from this to almost black. check the name with google images and see what you think? TFS yours Robert
Excellent capture with so many details. The warm colours are very nice and very clever handling of the light not to burn the white areas. The dof is spot on and I like the composition/cropping. Just another example to show that many pictures get better by cropping to the subject instead of the usual cropping.

Very natural details, and again a great composition, simple but effective. The brown palette is very nice. Good work.
