Class: Aves; Order: Passeriformes; Family: Certhiidae; Genus: Certhia; Species: Certhia familiaris.

Once again I went to the Treecreeper family and have found the adult bird with a prey in its beak. Only on a closer inspection, I saw the young perfectly cmouflaged sitting on the tree beside it.

Hello Helmut,
A very fine capture!
Though the lighting was not the best, you made good use of it in this capture of a Treecreeper feeding its fledgeling on a tree trunk.
The POV is great to show the typical pose of both parent and young, the sharpness excellent and the colours natural. Its nice to see the lichens on the tree too.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hello Helmut,

Very nice natural study of these treecreepers. I really prefer these natural shots where you learn something about their natural instincts of survival. Beautiful image in difficult lighting conditions. Well done!

Derek

Hello Helmut,
You must have been quick off the mark to capture these two little Treeecreepers in one go! They seem very busy collecting food for their young among the lichens. In spite of the poor light you did very well and show them both nicey in focus. Very well done!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla
