[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Caught this little seed robber down at the Cheney Public Gardens where 4-5 of them were all feeding as though they hadn't eaten in months..
I used my wife's Lumix with a long tele and the Leica lens. Even then the picture is very highly cropped.

Hello Bob,
Just watched a bunch of these guys feasting on the sunflowers out in the garden this afternoon. They sure are pretty little birds, looks like you did OK capturing this beautiful little fellow as he was snacking.
Seems to me the Lumix and the Leica lens did a fine job for you. Attractive image with well saturated colors and a pleasing composition.

Hi Bob,
very nice bird. Excellent colours. Great composition. Nice light.
Have a nice week,

Hello Bob

Beautiful environmental shot of this American Goldfinch,
fine frontal POV giving beautiful eye-contact from the bird,
love the shadow and lights play of the photo, TFS

Hi Bob,i wish to take a bird so well me too one day...ehhe...but the bird don't love me!A beautiful capture whit spectacular details everywhere and a very professional light management for a perfect yellow,i like it!Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano.

hi Bob,
when did you post it?! oh such a beautiful mood and atmosphere that you have captured. look at that cute bird in its natural surroundings... if others were there (me too, may be), would have chosen the particular region around the bird or just the bird only, and with the help of an excellent lens would have ended up with a shot where people were to compliment the DoF, sharpness, exposure and clarity... but here comes you... and that's why you are different. that you have kept the bird in its natural surroundings, gives a natural look to your photograph.
the other day i took enough time to go through all your works/ posts, Bob... hat's off, sir. i mean it. you are my role-model, because our types match. gone through your notes too... so real!
thank you Bob. for this post and being yourself, as well.
take care

PS: i think i can help you with the IDs of your two unknown damselflies. give me some time :)

Hello Bob,
Missed this pleasant shot unfortunately. We cannot see the bird on the thumbnail, but to open the picture is the reward. Lovely natural picture, so cute how the bird is occupied to eat some seeds from the sunflower. Excellent sharpness even if the picture is highly cropped.
Thanks too for your kind words on my last picture. Yes, I miss some people on TN who were our great help when not finding the ID of some creatures. I hope they will come back, also for their interesting postings.
Take care!

Ciao Bob, lovely composition with beautiful sunflowers, wonderful natural colors, splendid light and excellent sharpness, very well done, my friend, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

Impressive for such a heavy crop Bob. Love the yellow theme throughout this one. The Finch is well placed in the frame, as we would expect from yourself :o)
Keep Up The Good Work.

Hi Bob,

The sunflowers are framing well the bird. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the Goldfinch. It is clear and precise. The good luminosity is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.
