Identification: Small(wingspan 10mm),resembling a slender house fly in build, but with contrasting silvery grey and black stripes across the body. There are 3 species in the region.

Biology: Larvae breed in rotting organic matter.

Habitat: Variety of vegetation types.

I don't think you could possibly improve on a shot like this. It is top quality in every aspect of photography!!!

once again, a good one. as usual. but the light is a bit low, isn't it George? i mean, something is gloomy in the photograph..
