[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The gannet colony on the very tip of Cape Kidnappers - believed to be one of only two mainland gannet colonies in the world. Gannets are large sea birds with long, pointed wings and golden-yellow heads. Most spectacular is their method of fishing, when whole flocks suddenly dive straight into the sea from a great height, at speeds of up to 145km/h.

It's excellent Pam, looks like a rock festival for Gannets. Great capture. Are these birds unafraid of humans?

Très belle prise de vue de cette colonie d'oiseaux j'imagine le bruit que doivent faire tous ces volatiles.
Good job !

Good shot, you were very brave to get so near, they are agressive when reproducing.

Bellissima immagine, tecnicamente ottima, suggestiva e realistica, rende bene l'idea di... traffico!

This must surely have been a difficult shot to get. And the low angle is very good, a few birds close to show detail and then a view that most of us never get - birds as far as the eye reaches.
Just one thing: Is the horizon slightly tilted or is it my imagination?

Fine crowd of poeple... pardon me, birds of course!!! Very impressive.
