Exuvia of Calopteryx virgo. Is clearly visible between the long legs and slender body compared to other odonate larvae.
These larvae gill breathing the oxygen dissolved in the water, so that the amount of oxygen in the water has to be high. So are used as bioindicators of water quality of a river, along with other species of aquatic invertebrates. |

Hallo Roberto
This is a super sharp macro with beautiful details that is well captured and seen. I like the close to the eye point of view, the composition and the lovely colours of the whole image, but most of all I like the natural sunlight that brings out all the colours in the image to the best. Bien captada esta exúvia Roberto. Recuerdo la primera vez que vi una exuvia que me acerqué cuidadosamente pensando que el bichejo se iría, me tardó unos momentos en entender que ya nadie vivía ahí. Una excelente presentación en nitidez y tonos así como composición. Enhorabuena. Saludos.

Un sujet pas souvent montré, mais que je trouve intéressant(j'ai aussi montré une image d'Exuvia, l'année dernière). Une belle présentation horizontale, excellente netteté et des couleurs fines et subtiles.
