Hallo Neels,
Goed weekend,
Peter

Hallo Neels
I cannot help you to identify this bird (it looks like some kind of shrike), but I can tell you that it surely is a lovely little bird which you captured beautifully. I like the angle in which you captured it as this way one can see the details of all its feathers to the best, especially the tailpiece and the feathers on its side. I like the sight of its small polka dot eye and the shape of its beak. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
Anna

It looks like the shrikes family bird,
excellent close-up with the bird's
lovely eye-contact, excellent focus,

HI Neels,i haven't the solution at your question but i must to give you my best compliments for this very original and beautiful pic, very impressive quality on a difficult situation and pose,i like it!I wish you all the best for the new year and thanks for share,Luciano

Neels, this is a great capture of this bird. I like the sharpness, detail and POV. Beautiful job.

Hallo Neels,
You answered your own question. This is a Lanius collaris (Fiskaallaksman)in the phase between juvenile and adulthood. Incidentally I had a nest in my garden and could follow the young Fiscal Shrike's growth from nest to adulthood until the nest pair showed him the road. A beautiful photograph with great detail, sharpness and natural colours. I like the sparkle in the eye and eye detail. Nice POV my friend. Regarding the position you found it in I can not comment on as I do not know what the wind/rain conditions were at that point in time but the little fellow appears scared and lost.
Best regards,
Carl

Hello Neels,
Obviously a bit scared or disoriented as is evident by it's pose. It is such a beautiful bird not only in color, but also in it's body features. You could not have done a better job of photographing it, as the detail is super fine and exposure is perfect. Great shot!!!
Ron

dear neels,
I feel calm when I see your kind bird.
thank you.

best wishes,
