Wow this is a beauty! The colours and details in the bird's face is spectacular. I like the wide openend wing position, showing all the Swan's fine qualities to the best. I also like the point of view and the almost full framed composition, and the blue sky that acts as the background and a natural framing. Like always your posting is a pleasure to stop by. Happy New Year and all the best to you and yours in the future. You have struck a cord with me with this image. I joined this site to learn how to improve at capturing these types of images. I know how difficult
this is to do. You have done it so well, with the light on swan, the bird moving to the side to stay on target, and balance of light, IOS and shutter speed. Just a terrific image Peter.

Yes, indeed the young swan is heading towards a brighter future on the troubled blue. This is an excellent in-flight shot, Peter. The grace and elegance of flight of these wonderful birds is matchless. Your angle is perfect and the details of the plumage is catch the eye. A superb shot indeed, for such in-flight shots are so very difficult to take. Agree with Miss Piggy, this is a 'wow!' shot.

The space in front of the bird is indicating movement. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the juveline Mute Swan in flight. There is a good contrast between the colours of the picture. Have a nice day.
