A Bumble Bee, probably Bombus pascuorum, feeding on Ipomea flowers. The lining on the flowers is believed to point the insect towards the nectar source at the center of the flower. Flowering plants are in a severe competition for the services of pollinators, and all tricks are good to catch their attention and facilitate their visit! |
