A lovely and colourful portrait of the Woodpecker perched elegantly on a stump, Pierre.
The slight BG noise does not bother me because the subject still looks wonderful despite it.

Hi Pierre,

A very nicely captured picture of the woodpecker with natural color. The elegant pose of the woodpecker sitting on top of the wood trunk adds a different perspective than the common pose of most woodpeckers perched on the trees.

Tu as donc vu ce pic près de chez toi, bien exposé sur ce tronc d'arbre. La lumière ne semble pas avoir été facile. Il y en a aussi près de ma maison, mais je n'arrive pas à en faire des images convenables:-(

they are resident in my locality. even they have nest. Generally they are visible after late winter to early winter.
