What an interesting looking bird, Laurens!
The appeal of this portrait lies in the fact that this is perhaps the most innovative perspective to capture this bird with its peculiar bill getting the maximum attention.
Its grizzled head is also very unique.
Thanks and regards.

Hi Lou!
Wow!Great portrait of this handsome Leptoptilos Crumeniferum.
Handsome????Ok! I exaggerate a bit...kkkkkkkkkk
Nice job!!!!TFS
Best wishes from,

Hello, Laurens,
Many people might not see the beauty in such a bird, but every design in nature has its purpose, and that makes it beautiful in its own right. The maraboe is certainly no exception. Thanks for posting this magnificent creature.

Hi Lou,
Goed weekend,

Good close up portrait of this Maraboe. The workshop shows he is a very tall bird. You have captured super detail and colour in this photo from a good POV. Excellent eye contact and composition.

hello Lou,
He seems to be a little bit sad..may be life in a zoo is not always the best. May be he is already old too. Nice picture in the WS too.
Kind regards

Ciao Lou, great capture of fantastic maraboe, splendid sharpness, wonderful natural colors and fine details, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hallo Lou
This Maraboe surely is not one of the most beautiful birds I have seen before and one can understand why it is also called the "Undertaker bird", but to see it from so closely and see all its prominent features right in your face is great. I love the detail of its body feathers that you have captured so beautifully. Thanks for sharing a great portrait. Best regards.
