The Oriental White-eye we see in India is lighter in colour, Dr Ahmet.
A first-rate capture of this species on the typical soil of Oman.
You have chosen the perspective carefully, keeping in mind the slanting rays of the sun. As a result, every feature of the bird and especially the eye, are in superb focus.
Thanks and regards.
A picture of Oriental White-eye is appended in Workshop.

An outstanding close-up image of this pretty little White-breasted White-eye. The eye ring immediately captures your attention and it's olive toned colors are very beautiful to say the least.
I find it interesting that you found it eating bread from the garbage when it normally feeds on insects. Thank you for posting this 1st. on TN for the enjoyment of all viewers. Well done!!

I can only repeat the praise of others posted above, and I find this to be an exceptional image, particulalry in the way that the fine feather detail has been preserved, along with a very natural presentation of the natural olive tones of the bird. The depth of field is perfect - not easy to achieve with a 600mm lens at very close working distances, and having sufficient light to select a 1/2000sec shutter speed is a luxury that we lack in sunny England ;-)
Very nicely done.
Best wishes, Nigel.
