Hello friends in TN.

A wood-decay fungus is a variety of fungus that digests moist wood, causing it to rot. Some wood-decay fungi attack dead wood, such as brown rot, and some, such as Armillaria (Honey fungus), are parasitic and colonize living trees. Fungi that not only grow on wood but actually cause it to decay, are called lignicolous fungi. Various lignicolous fungi consume wood in various ways; for example, some attack the carbohydrates in wood, and some others decay lignin.

Hello Jusni,
Two different species with different colour. You have chosen beautiful theme. With due respect I would like to say you that this picture didn't showing your excellent ability which I had seen before.I am a novice and learning a lot watching you with other photographer.

If I was in you place I would take very close picture of yellow fungus and BG would be blurry red fungi with dark(wood)colour.I mean depth of field would be my goal.
What you think?Wish you nice week end,
Thanks for sharing,
Kind regards,

hallo Jusni

Hello Jusni
Interesting subject and beautiful photo with excellent composition and wonderful colours.

Well seen and well taken - wonderful composition and colours.

Bonjour Jusni,
Trčs belle macro valorisant bien les sujets par l'appréciation de la finesse des détails et la délicatesse des couleurs.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hi Jusni,
This is one of the best fungal shots on TN. Extremely aesthetic with 2 species. Although the small yellow one is impossible to ID only from photo, probably a Heyderia or a Mitrula, but other generas aren't out of question either. The polypore on the pic is most probably Ganoderma resinaceum Boud., widespread all over the world, but more common in the tropical area.
Thanks for sharing these beauties, best regards, László
