[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today we where plunged back into winter with heavy snowfall, the heaviest this winter, the birds in the garden must be thinking "You think I am going to nest in this weather, think again"

This female Chaffinch seems to be looking rather confused about the weather. They are common to most of Europe and now frequent parks and garden feeding tables.

Taken whilst the snow was fairly light, now a lot heavier, image has been cropped about 60%, slight sharpening to allow for loss on upload to TN.

Thanks for viewing

Aahaha William, now is snowing in my country too,the springtime seems in delay this year..a beautiful capture on these cold days, great details and colors on the chaffinch despite the difficult light,i like the lines made by the snowflakes in a long time of exposure in background.Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Beautiful picture of this specie in snowy day.You have captured it nicely with very nice POV and pose of the bird.Even a peace of snow on its head.Nice details on feather with blurry BG which helps to concentrate on the subject.Well captured.I like it.

Hello Bill,
The first signs of Spring are here. So there's hope for you on the other side of the large pool. Nice photo in natural colours and good sharpness.

Bill, unexpected climate changes are now deepening the general conviction that something significant is taking place on our planet, and not necessarily owing to human intervention. Goodness gracious, how can you be experiencing heavy snowfall in England today???
Great capture of this baffled Chaffinch.
Never mind the noisy BG; it's inevitable under the circumstances.

Hello sir...
The main thing is to capture the pic in such a way that ..we can feel it ....
and I can feel the falling snow in this pic ... You brilliantly focused on your subject..even we can see the falling snow....
great sharpness ...Tfs

They are announcing the same for us for the middle
of next week but sometimes it is not happening
what they announcing, the snow going more to the USA.

Beautiful photo of this Chaffinch asking himself
what's going on ! fine POV, beautiful light,
great focus, sharpness, and details, TFS

Hello William,
Excellent capture with fine details, taken from nice PoV and the snowing effect is remarkable.
Thanks and my regards,

Hi William,
in my country we had spring for one week :)
This night it was about -16C degrees.
Maybe it will be better this week.
Nice portrait of this bird. I like the point of view and composition.
Thanks for sharing,

Hello Bill,to date we`ve not had any significant falls of snow even if it`s been B cold, your chaffinch appears to be in good condition and taking it all in it`s stride, must be a food supply near..
A lovely shot made more atmospheric by the white stuff.
All the best Les.

Difficult conditions but good expression of your pic. Like...

Bonjour William,
Agréable valorisation du sujet.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
