[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Long Tailed Tit is not a true tit, nor is it related to the other long-tailed tit, the bearded tit.

Apart from it difference of appearance it lives more in family groups. It may be that several birds rather than a single pair help out at a nest. these family groups are seen roaming around, often in willows, alders, swampy places and hedgerows, calling to each other for comfort. They seem to stay together to watch out for predators and warn each other of danger and collectively have a better chance of finding food.

This one was part of a group of about 8 birds which fly around my area, you normally hear them before you see them.

Image has been cropped about 60%, levels adjusted and slightly sharpened to allow for loss on upload.

Thanks for viewing.

Hello William,
Impressive details on feather ! Lovely composition and light ! TFS Tina

Ciao William, grreaty capture of lovely little bird on beautiful blurry BG, wondeful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello William,
observation of these birds in my garden delights me every day. "My" birds are more contrasted (the dark parts are darker, especially on the head), isn't it a juvenile here ?
I'm right with Jean-Marie, the head is slightly out of focus. It doesn't matter, I prefer to remember the composition and the POV which highlights nicely the long tail of this lovely bird.
Tfs, Philippe.

Helo William
very pretty view of this bird in pestel and smooth render. The details of the feathers on the head is excellent. The dark eye is splendid in giving a pleasant composition.
Nicely presented

Bonjour William,
Bonne valorisation du sujet dans une belle attitude et sous un bon angle de prise de vue.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hi William,

The branch is helping to rame the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the Long Tail Tit. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
