Ciao Davide

I can not help you with the ID unfortunately; but I want to tell you, this is a very attractive bird, well camouflaged in it's habitat and beautifully photographed.
I have been to Lecco many years ago, remember it as a beautiful place but do not recall Alta Valssasina. Will have to google it . Is it at high altitude or humid?just wonder about the autumn like colours.

Whichever, the adaptation of this bird to it's habitat is amazing, and I add it to my theme "camouflage. I hope, a member will be able to help you with the ID.
The way you controlled the focus enhances the markings of the bird.

Thanks for sharing.
Warm greetings from the Tzaneen Dam in Limpopo, South Africa
Ciao, Ingrid

Buona giornata,Luciano

Ciao Davide,
Your bird is a Grey Partridge Perdix perdix. Not an easy species to photograph, as they are so often hunted by man, so well done with this one!
Best wishes, Nigel.

Hello Davide. Great looking background for this bird. It's nice to see an environment shot. It's framed to the center nicely with leaves around the edge. An interesting grouse with cool markings. TFS Trevor
