Wadi Ein Avdat
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This is a view of a section of the enormous wadi Ein Avdat, near the ancient Nabatean city of Avdat, now a UNESCO heritage site. The wadi hosts many different bird species, and ibex browse here - I will post a view of ibex in the brush next time. This view is taken looking more or less south towards the end of the wadi - there is a walking track that ends in a climb on stairs cut into the end of the wadi to the plateau at the top. The entrance is at Midreshet Ben Gurion, near Kibbutz Sde Boker. Its about 1 1/2 hours drive south of Beersheva.|
Even in summer there is water in the pools, which of course fill up much more if there is rain in the region in winter.

Beautiful view in the wadi in nice natural colours and a good DOF. Fine composition.
