Looking through the bushes, I happened to encounter monitor Lizard. This one was neither a baby nor a big older lizard.Probably a teenage lizard, taking a sunbath in the dec morning of Keoladeo. These lizards love to spend time in the dry savana grassland, so if you hunt in the savana area of keoladeo ,you will surely get chance to see one. These lives in the ground but many lives on the tree too. They are found in various size. The largest ones are known as komodo dragon. some people like to keep them as pet. hey are usually shy and avoid humans. They have keen eyesight and can detect human movement nearly 250 m away. When caught, a few individuals may bite, but rarely do so. |
