[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Diamond doves (Geopelia cuneata) are small doves found in the drier parts of the east and north of Australia. I photographed this pair on a trip to the Pilbara in September 2011. It was a hot day and the doves were resting in an Acacia tree, showing its characteristic dark red bark(called minni-ritchi) peeling away in small curls. This particular tree is probably Acacia grasbyi, common in the interior of Western Australia.

This looks like a very delicate bird ... so tiny ... so unique!!!
Love your blue sky.
Well balanced colours.
Perfect eye contact ... both birds.
Best and most kind regards from COLD COLD Canada from Mario.

Bonsoir Odile,
