[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My wife noticed this Moth inside our house this morning and told me there was a 'butterfly' available at home, so why go out and waste the entire Sunday looking for them? (She can hardly tell the difference between a moth and a butterfly.)
I found the moth sticking up-side-down on a metal book shelf and took a few pictures of it using fill flash. This is one of them. Had to remove the very slight noise in the BG using Gausssian Blur tool.
Though I can't be sure, I guess it is a Noctuidae Moth.
Here is some basic information from Bug Guide:

Classification

Kingdom Animalia (Animals)
Phylum Arthropoda (Arthropods)
Subphylum Hexapoda (Hexapods)
Class Insecta (Insects)
Order Lepidoptera (Butterflies and Moths)
No Taxon (Moths)
Superfamily Noctuoidea
Family Noctuidae (Owlet Moths)

Ram,
Most ladies do not, indeed, know the differences of these species; and, to be honest with you I'm in the same boat ... one early Spring morning I saw one between our kitchen storm glass windows. I too did get some images. And, because I could not ID it I left it within my image/s library.
GREAT IMAGE!!!
Thanks for the education.
Mario with best and most kind regards from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Ciao Stone, great macro of lovely moth, fine details, wonderful colors and splendid sharpness, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello neighbor Ram,
The details in this moth are amazing. Even the finest are visible. The fill flash did its work very good, very beautiful natural colours. Attractive diagonal composition.
Regards,
Peter
