Pachystachys lutea, Lollipop Plant and Golden Shrimp Plant, Chandelle ou Panache d'officier.

"Famille : Acanthaceae
Aspect : Arbuste d'environ un mètre de hauteur avec branches angulaires.
Feuilles : Opposées, ovoïdes-étroites, jusqu'à 12 cm de long.
Fleurs : En épis terminaux de 15 à 25 cm de long, strictement ordonné en quatre rangs. Fleurs blanches avec corolle bilabiée, bractées saillantes, ne tenant que quelques jours. Bractées jusqu'à 2,5 cm de long, de couleur jaune-orange, qui restent fraîches pendant plusieurs semaines.
Fruits : Capsules quadrangulaires à pétioles courts. Graines disposées sur de petites excroissances crochues.
Habitat : Pérou tropical. Arbuste ornemental pour jardins tropicaux appréciés également en dehors de l'Amérique du Sud. Introduit en Europe seulement en 1970, devint en peu de temps une plante en pot très prisée.

Hi Gerard, Very interesting species, I have never seen this kind of flower around in my area. I like the green BG which gives a strong colour contrasts to the flower itself. Great details and clarity which one can see the texture of the flower clearly. Thank for sharing
