The bird in picture is indeed an amazing one, new one for me. Color combination is great and a blue sky as BG has helped in attaining details on this beautiful bird. But the overall quality of shot is not good, probably because of the distance involved between the subject and your lens. The dry twigs it is perching on give a blending sort of look; so are the bird's tail and head. Wish you good luck in getting a closer shot of it. Thanks for sharing,

Beautiful photo of this Purple-crested Turaco, musophaga porphyreolophus.
I've seen them in S.Africa, but only had a decent photo of it from a bird park.
Nice to see the splendid colours against the blue sky in the background. Good choice of composition.

I'm sure you were very excited to capture such an attractive and unique looking bird. This is a new one for me and what a beauty it is. I really like the iridescent green head feathers and the array of reddish and yellow hues on it's breast. Good eye contact!!

Hi Srikumar,
Colorful species on a nice photo. Focus seems a little soft even after selective sharpening (there's a small yet vissible bright halo around the bird), but as a composition it really sticks into the viewer's mind. Light management is excellent also. Great photo overall, nice choice for your 300th upload. :-)
