Purple Rumped Sunbird (Leptocoma zeylonica) is a very commonly seen bird, especially in households and gardens. The species is found in India and Sri Lanka. These are nectar feeding birds and are often seen hovering around flowers. They sometimes feed on small insects, other than nectar.

I just love the natural sunlight in this image as it brings out the beauty in this scene to the best. Not only is the bird beautifully emphasized by the gorgeous light, but also the natural environment that is included in the picture. It is a pleasure looking at this lovely image and I must say the metallic "Jewish cap" on the Sunbird's head is very eye-catching. Best regards and thanks for sharing.

Hello Abhinav,
A fine close-up shot of this pretty little sunbird. Great eye contact with even a tiny bit of catchlight captured. These beautiful tiny birds always remind me of hummingbirds. I particularly like their long curved bills. Well done!!

Very nice and sharp at almost the max focal length of the lens. Good to see the bird in its environment with the flowers it may be feeding from.
