Hi Trekkers,

An old photo taken 5 years ago, but a TN-debut of the species Russula aeruginea Lindbl. ex Fr. - at least the search motor didn't find any image of it on our beloved site. Locally common species in the circumboreal region, where its mycorrhiza-partners (birch [Betula pendula] or spruce [Picea abies]) live. Edible.

Photo: manual exposure mode. In Photoimpact moderate cropping, adjusting contrast and color saturation, after re-sizing noise reduction and selective sharpening with Neat Image module.

Hello Laszlo,
An attractive specimen with a soft greenish golden color to it's cap. I like the very low POV you chose which shows it off in exceptional detail amongst the fallen pine needles. The exposure is just right and the vertical framing works out great in this instance. Well done!!

Ciao Laszlo, congratulations for this first on TN, splendid sharpness, wonderful natural colors and fine details, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hey Laszlo,

What a beautiful mushroom. The green colors make it very unusual and i like it very much, best,
