FIRST TIME FOR TREK NATURE

I had captured this BLACK-BACKED PUFFBACK(Male), at the moment of The Sunrise, in my way to Lower Sabie from Skukuza in Kruger National Park; South Africa. It was hidden in bush.


The Black-backed Puffback(Dryoscopus Cubla) is a species of bird in the Malaconotidae family. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Democratic Republic Of The Congo, Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania etc.

It mainly eats insects, doing most of its foraging in the upper canopy, gleaning insects from leaves and branches and occasionally catching prey in flight.
The nest is tidy, compact cup made of grass, roots and bark bound together with spider web and lined with fine grass. It is built solely by the female, while the male helps collect material, regularly displaying and calling nearby. It is often decorated with lichen and barks, so that it is camouflaged with the forked branch it is bound to.
