|Hi to everybody, I would like to thank you all for your comments on my recent uploaded photos. I can on treknature a few years ago and your photos and expertise inspired me to become better. i hope new visitors recieve as warm as welcome to treknature as I have. This photo was taken on a holiday in Menorca I was amazed when I found it and that it what is also good about this site, that you may not know what animal is but someone is always here to help. I am not sure of it's id, but I do think it belongs to cricket family.
As for the picture, sharp, good lighting, back ground and contrasting colors.

Hi Andy, this is a very nicely taken photo,sharp in it's details and the colour is spot on.It would be even more sharp if you had stopped the lens down even say to f/11,still I like the out of focus background you have in this shot.I think you have a Katydid as it lacks rear antennae that most crickets tend to have, also crickets are mostly black or brown in colour. A belated welcome to you here on TN and thanks for sharing "Katy" with us.They are also known as bush crickets.
