[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This particular male Northern Cardinal decided to visit our back yard and gave me a nice side angle pose. The males are starting to sing more and more every day and soon will be paring up with a female for the upcoming nesting season.

Soon there will be three or four pale green eggs, spotted with reddish brown in their nest. The nest are built of twigs, leaves and plant fibers and are hidden in thickets of their choice.

The Northern Cardinal can be found in the Eastern United States and southern Canada. They like woodland edges, thickets, brushy areas near swamps and home gardens.

Northern Cardinal is among the most beautiful birds in the world, Ron, and your immaculate image of it leaves nothing to imagination.
It is a superlative capture with perfect focus and rich colors. The blue BG goes so well with the red of the subject.
Your picture really makes my day!
Thanks.

Hi Ron,

A beauty!!! That's what it is & the color, the sharpness & the details came out brilliantly. Special is the catchlight bang in the center of the eye..

Warm Regards,
Satirtha

Hello Ron,

I like this color of bird....very eye catching. Well captured. Good light and sharpness too. It's evident you have used flash here. I use flash just only get catching light on birds eye. I personally depend on natural light to get its natural beauty with its natural habitat.
Thanks for showing us this beautiful colored bird,
Regards and have a nice week end,
Srikumar

Hola Ron; Hermosa toma de una magnífica especie, me encanta la luz y ese rojo escarlata...saludos.

Hi Ron,
Northern cardinal, as being one of the most wonderful passerine birds, not surprisingly is often a subject of the North American photographers. You managed to capture this nice male in a truly beautiful way: excellent exposure supported by the flash, nice colors and pale, neutral background which helps the viewer to concentrate on the magnificent red tones even more. Top class photo. Bravo!
Best regards, László
