King Ferdinand's Bee Orchid is possibly one of the strangest and most intriguing of this genus. It belongs to the speculum group, showing a shiny mirror-like labellum, about 15 mm long.

Hi Ishi, very strange but very interesting and caught in an excellent way, bright details and colors, i like it! Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Bonjour Ishi,
Rarement tes macros n'ont atteint un tel point de précision et de coloration ; c'est tout simplement remarquable.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hello Ishi
Wow, this is a very unique looking Orchid. Plants do what they need to do to survive. I wonder why this orchid created this mirror like laabelum? Thank you for photographing and sharing. Love the composition, details and colours.
