On the Assault course
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Out for a bit of an early morning climb this Common Garden Snail (Helix aspersa) is seen here climbing up the side of the plastic knitted mesh shade tunnel on our plant nursery. it is probably just trying to find a sheltered place spot out of the sun to rest up for the day and thinks it is climbing a tree to hide under a branch or leaf you quiet often find snails up trees doing just that.|
This one is about as large as they get at 38mm /1.5inch long in the shell , which probably makes this one over 2 years old as it takes 2 years to get to full size, it might if lucky and avoids the many things that love snail for a snack.
This is another from the back file of images ready prepared for posting but time or a better? image over taking it. Hope you like it , Thank you for looking

Funny thing - this is COMMON Garden Snail, but I never saw one in my life ;-) Maybe they're not so common in Poland. Your picture looks like slightly futuristic - something like holodeck from Star Trek ;-) Snail is detailed and looks very good.
Good Idea. Wonderfull position and contrast.

Yes, Good to hear from you too. What a year, so many things to do, to change, to adapt to.
Been Leopard hunting again, you can see some of the pics on my wedsite - still working on it, the address in in my intro.
Selling my Sigma, will get new Nikor lenses, have had some success already with the new lens.
Love the way this pest is doing wht they do best, just being around, and sometimes giving one an unusual oppertunity for a shot like this. Very crisp and clear, and the net works well IMO.
Will post at least one more, on Gerhard's request, as oon as I have worked throuh my "debt"
