[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Friends, I now realize as on Sept 8, 2015 that this is not a Common Leopard but a male Indian Fritillary. The note has, therefore, been revised accordingly.

Argynnis hyperbius, the Indian Fritillary, is a butterfly of the Nymphalid or brush-footed butterfly family.

Distribution

The Himalayas, in the outer ranges from Campbellpur in the Punjab to Sikhim; Oudh; Agra; Manbhum in Bengal; Assam, the Khasi Hills; Upper Burma; extending to China and Formosa; Sumatra; Java. Can also be found in southern Japan.

Hello Ram,
An awesome shot of this gorgeous Common Leopard butterfly. Posed perfectly while giving us a great look at it's uniquely marked wings. The pretty orange color in it's wings almost match the flower it is perched on. Love the dark BG which helps accent the butterfly. Wonderful DOF as the entire butterfly is in sharp focus. I have to imagine you were thrilled when you brought this up on the screen. Great job!!

Waaw and Waaw! My friend, this is a masterwork! What a spectacular decentralized composition and what a professional capture of this common leopard. The sharpness is the best as possible everywhere despite the perspective, very bright orange too,the pic of the day on TN,no doubts.Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

We dont know where the butterfly begins and where the flower ends...!!! Nice shot.
