[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The black-headed trogon (Trogon melanocephalus):

They eat both fruit and insects, which they capture during brief sallies from an exposed perch.[3]

The black-headed trogon excavates its nest in active termitaria in the branches of trees. It lays 2–3 white eggs which are incubated for 17 days. Chicks are capable of flight 16–17 days after hatching.[3]

Hello Pierre,
Great shot - you have captured the bird very well indeed. Great detail and exposure.
Regards Sigi

Hello Pierre,
I like such natural habitat photographs of bird. Well captured this Trogon. Very nice color and sharpness. Mainly such beautiful color on its back. Very well managed BG too.
But to me the white spot on upper left portion looks little bit distracting; I mean when I'm concentrating on such beautiful bird, this white spot is taking my concentration.

It's just my opinion; you may say different way of thinking. I have done a WS where I have tried to remove this spot and worked little bit on branch as well as bright reflecting white sunlight. I also tried to clean BG more if I can.
Just ignore it if you don't like.
Thanks for sharing your work,
Regards and have a nice WE,
Srikumar

Hello Pierre,
Very beautiful photo of this trogon. Excellent timing with the eye contact. Good sharpness, details and splendid colours. Nice blurry background, the spot on the left is a pity.
Have a good weekend,
Peter
