Diptera: Syrphidae

The genus Paragus occurs in all continents except South America.It is a rather rare syrphid preying on aphids however the efectiveness of its larvae in controling aphids is unknown. Its size is very small 3-6mm long. Species of Paragus is not easy identified by body color. The safe key is male genitalia.

Hello Nikos,
Well captured this Hoverfly. Color looks natural and good sharpness. IMHO, It is a small species and it needs tight crop to show us details. Here subject looks small in the big frame and you can see BLANK SPACE.
