Linneus 1758

Nome Volgare: C bianca, Comma, Vanessa c-bianco

Famiglia: Nimphalydae

Lunghezza ala anteriore mm. 21-25

Hello Silvio,
Wonderful presentation of the well know Comma butterfly in a fully opened wing pose. Looks like it is enjoying the warm rays of the sun. Posed very nicely for you on the thistle blooms while displaying excellent detail and vivid colors. Must be a fairly young butterfly, as both wings are in perfect shape with no missing edges. Your choice of an f/16 aperture gave you plenty of DOF yet still kept the butterfly well separated from the BG.

Hi Silvio,

The flowers are framing well the insect. The point of view is showing the details of the olygonia c-album butterfly. The light is enhancing the colours. Have a nice day.

Pierre
