[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A small unassuming insectivorous bird, the Western Thornbill (Acanthiza inornata) is the plainest of all Australian thornbills (not related to the hummingbirds of the same name), with faint pale scallops on the forehead. The Australian thornbills have similar feeding behaviour to the European tits, although not related to them.
This particular species inhabits tall forests to coastal scrub. Common in its restricted distribution from Geraldton to Albany.

Hello Odile,
A prized image of this beautiful Western Thornbill. Sharply focused and displaying excellent plumage detail. I like the good eye contact you managed to capture and the colors are true and natural. The softness of the BG is very nice aesthetically.

Hi Odile.
Beautiful shot of this wee fellow ex details and background.
Cheers Dave.

fascinating eye of this unspectacular little bird. Very nice -thanks

Hi Odile,I am a middle aged man who like in your introduction is very much the same when it comes to photography. The photo you present to us has a very clear and sharp Thornbill as presented, however what I like and actually love about this photo of yours is that wonderfully soft and mellow background with the soft pastel colours going for it as that really makes the bird-sing!
Thank you for this lovely upload.

Hello Odile,
a really impressive composition of this little bird perched in it`s environment.
The details of the plumage are first class and the BG suitably OOF.
Regards Les.
