[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A different view of the Green and Red Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos manglesii), taken before the flowers open up.
Each green 'tube' is an individual flower, with the red base being the ovary.
See http://www.treknature.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=291794 for the front view of the open flowers.
Less common in the Perth Hills than on the coastal sandplain.

Beautiful flora from your country,Odile.
Such lovely shades of red and green, and it does look like a 'paw' indeed!
Great composition.

Hello Odile,
A new plant for me and quite unusual looking. When my granddaughter saw it on the screen she immediately said it looked like a hand.
I love the unique shape which really does resemble a kangaroo paw, and the rich colors are gorgeous. A stunning shot!!

Ciao Odile, great macro of interesting specie, wonderful bright colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Beautiful Red Kangaroo Paw, Odile. Only nature can create such thing.
