[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the common garden spider we know well in the UK, it's webs drape the hedges and bushes around the countryside. It's characteristic cross on it's back makes it fairly easy to indentify, they vary in colour from dark brown to a sandy colour and then to nearly white.

This was taken in my garden with an Meyer Optic 50mm f2.8- 5 lens with a x2 prinzeflex converter (all from my old film setups,) on the front of the lens was Raynox m 250 all mounted on a two way track system for in/out and side to side movements. The f/stop is shown as f4 but the lens was set to f22. This setup is not recognised by the camera so I use AV mode which allows the camera to set the speed.

This image is from 14 shots put together and stacked in Adobe CC2015. Thanks to Gert (Ellis49) for the help in doing this.

The spider made some movemnets with the ends of its legs which I was unable to edit well.

Thanks for viewing

Hello Bill,
What a neat shot of this attractively marked spider. Filled with wonderful detail and subtle earth toned colors. Hard to believe this is a combination of 14 shots. Great work!!

William, you are an expert in photo technology. You have created a truly life-like image of this well-embellished Spider by using a complex combination of lenses and aperture values. The slight aberration in the front pair of legs is negligible.
Thanks for sharing this meticulously edited image.
