[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This wasp belongs to one of the more than 100 species of the genus Sphex, family Sphecidae.
I'm not sure, but this one seems to be a Sphex pensylvanicus, which can be seen in southeast Canada, U.S.A. and northern Mexico.

Hello Pedro,
Never seen a black wasp before. Nice photo in good sharpness and natural colours. The spider on the backside of the flower is a bonus.

Hello Pedro,
An attractive image of this rather colorful wasp. I like the purplish blue iridescent hues on it's back and head. Very good focus showing excellent detail and exposure is just right. White balance looks great as colors appear true and nature. The little spider seems to be content just hanging out as it waits for it's next meal.
