[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Silver-eyes or White-eyes are common small birds, found in Africa, South Asia and Australasia/Micronesia. The species pictured here is the Western Silvereye, Zosterops lateralis, found in Australia from Cape York down the Eastern States coastline, South Australia, the Nullarbor and coming north to Shark Bay.
The western australian sub-species is Z.l. chloronotus, characterised by a green back rather than grey (hardly visible on the photo).
A common garden bird, it can become a pest in orchards and vineyards. |

Hello Odile,
Very nice photo of this White-eye in good sharpness and a fine pose. Beautiful natural colours. Excellent vertical composition. A pity that the background is a bit noisy.
Regards,
Peter
Hello Odile,
What a nicely composed shot of this beautiful White-eye. Reminds me of one of the tiny warblers I see during the spring migration. Love the focus and rich colors. The vertical framing works out great in this instance. A bit of noise in the BG which can easily be removed in Neat Image.
Hello Odile,
Very nice image of this small White-eye in good sharpness and composition.
Regards,
Biswarup
