Long-tailed Blue
Azuré porte-queue
Grosser Wanderbläuling

Family: Lycaenidae
Subfamily: Polyommatinae
Size: 30-35mm

I have seen this species for the first time in my town. L. boeticus leaves normally more south in Italy and N'Africa, but sometimes comes further north like this one.

Hello Anne,
A perfect capture of this pretty little Long-tailed Blue. Awesome detail and beautiful colors combined with just the right exposure makes this a winner in my book. I'm glad this particular specimen decided to head north on it's flight plan. Great shot!!

Pleasant surprise to see you posting again, Anne.
Hope you have recovered sufficiently from your injury.
How providential to have this butterfly in your region at this time of the year!
As usual, your composition is the zenith of perfection.
Amazing sharpness and beautiful subdued colours.

Hi Anne,
Another great close-up image. Amazing colors and excellent details
and focus with nicely blurred background.
Regards Jiri.

Liebe Anne,

Hello Anne
This is a fine work. The specimen is pin sharp and nicely lit.
I have seen small species similar to this one, in my country.

TFS & regards
