Today morning while I was going around in my school, I found this Plain Tiger butterfly lurching around on parking area in the shade. It seemed to be quite weak. I sensed that it was about to die. It did not object when I gently lifted it on to my palm. Since the weather is getting a little colder, especially in the morning, I thought the sun might revive it. So I placed it on a plant in the sun and took a few pictures of it with my iPhone mobile. 2 hours later, I checked on it again and found it lying dead on its side by the side of the plant.
The butterfly, obviously, was in a bad physical shape. It had one of its antennae missing and its wings were also damaged.

Hello Ram,
A wonderful shot of this beautiful Plain Tiger butterfly. To bad it died, but as you stated it seemed to be in pretty bad shape. Perhaps it had a bout with a bird or some other predator.
Your focus is very sharp showing nice detail and the colors are well saturated. I like the natural lighting and white balance is perfect.
The weather here in Ohio has gotten fairly cold as of lately. I believe we have just about seen the last of our butterflies for this year.
